The cleanup operation was executed over five consecutive days, deploying a dedicated workforce of 40 personnel supported by heavy machinery, including two JCB excavators. A senior Aavin official from the Madurai division confirmed that the clearing process involved loading and transporting approximately 150 truckloads of accumulated refuse out of the facility’s premises.

Authorities clarified that the cleared materials comprised non-industrial and non-hazardous waste, consisting predominantly of old paper archives, soiled paper bags, discarded cardboard boxes, paper cups, dry foliage, and construction rubble, rather than chemical or industrial by-products. All 150 truckloads of recovered waste were transported directly to the designated municipal dumping facility at Vellakal, near Madurai city, for lawful disposal.

The accumulation of debris behind the dairy plant—which employs over 200 workers—had long been a source of operational and environmental inconvenience. Staff members reported that foul odors arising from rotting paper and trapped moisture in the accumulated mounds had effectively rendered the rear section of the facility unusable and unapproachable for personnel for an extended period, despite leadership changes across previous General Managers.
