Godrej Agrovet appoints consumer veteran Gaurav Pande as CEO of Creamline Dairy to accelerate growth of its popular Godrej Jersey brand.
Gaurav Pande Appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Godrej's Creamline Dairy

The consumer business veteran is tasked with scaling the “Godrej Jersey” brand and expanding its value-added dairy footprint across South India.

Diversified agribusiness conglomerate Godrej Agrovet Limited has announced the appointment of Gaurav Pande as the new Chief Executive Officer of its subsidiary, Creamline Dairy Products Limited. This transition marks a major leadership change at one of South India’s most prominent private dairy companies. Pande will take charge of managing the company’s extensive business operations and will be directly responsible for steering its long-term corporate growth strategy, accelerating technological innovation, and driving business transformation.

Pande joins Creamline Dairy with a distinguished career spanning over three decades of leadership experience across major consumer-centric businesses. Most recently, he successfully spearheaded the market launch and regional expansion of a prominent international Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand in India. Throughout his career, Pande has built a strong reputation for his expertise in portfolio diversification, go-to-market strategies, operational efficiency, and building high-performance executive teams—qualities that Godrej Agrovet’s board hopes will elevate Creamline’s brand presence.

Creamline Dairy is widely recognized across South India for its popular retail brand, “Godrej Jersey,” and maintains an active, highly integrated supply footprint across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. Under its dual focus of delivering high-quality nutrition and creating consistent value for smallholder farmers, the business has evolved from a basic fluid milk processor into a diversified dairy player. Its modern value-added portfolio now features widely consumed regional staples, including curd, paneer, buttermilk, flavored milk, and ghee.

The new leadership mandate comes at a time when India’s domestic dairy industry is undergoing a significant consumer-led structural transition. Demand for clean-label, value-added, and highly nutritious dairy products is surging, forcing traditional processors to rapidly modernize their processing capabilities and diversify away from bulk commodity trade. Operating eight composite dairy plants alongside a dedicated milk powder manufacturing facility in Ongole, Creamline Dairy is uniquely positioned to capture this high-margin retail growth under Pande’s guidance.

By bringing in a consumer-sector veteran, Godrej Agrovet intends to sharpen Creamline Dairy’s competitive edge in the highly fragmented South Indian market. Pande’s immediate strategic priorities will center on broadening the geographical distribution network, optimizing the upstream procurement model with local farming communities, and accelerating new product development. This focused transition highlights a broader corporate strategy within Godrej’s agri-divisions to shift towards consumer-focused, high-value brand equity to shield operational margins.
