According to media reports milk- producing farmers want the Amul model of cooperative to be revived in the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (TNCMPF).
They point out several benefits such as treatment cattle in case of emergencies, provision of free medicines on a regular basis, etc
M. G. Rajendran, general secretary, Tamil Nadu Milk Producers’ Welfare Association, is quoted by the daily Hindu as saying that the welfare of milch animals could be easily achieved when Amul is around.
