Dairy development minister Mr. Rajakanappan visited the Milk Producers Cooperative Society (Aavin) Tiruppur District on Thursday.

Aavin Managing Director Dr.S.Vineeth, Collector Mr. Tha. Kristuraj, MLA Mr. K. Selvaraj, Member of Tiruppur South Legislative Assembly and Mayor Mr. N. Dinesh Kumar accompanied him on Friday.

The Minister Informed that 8,000 liters of milk per day was procured from Ramampalayam Milk Producers Cooperative Society.

A new administrative office building was constructed at a cost of Rs.3.48 crore at the milk cooling station in Veerapandi division and it was inaugurated by the Chief Minister. In Tiruppur District 1,80,000 liters of milk is procured per day from 11,963 milk producer members of around 402 societies in Cooperative Milk Producers Union (Aavin). Steps are being taken to increase the sale of milk up to 50,000 litres. On the occasion of Diwali festival, the sales of Aavin products have increased by Rs.25.00 crores.

General Manager (Aavin) Mrs. Sujatha, Deputy Director (Kadar Village Industries) Mr. Chandrasekhar, Pongalur Panchayat Union President Mr. Kumar, Aavin Deputy Secretary (Dairy) Mr. Ganesh, Assistant Director (Kadar Village Industries) Mrs. Rajeshwari, and many officers were present.
