Gaining 8 ½ cents and moving back to $1.80/lb, Barrels however only mustered up a half penny move higher to $1.54 1/2 . Our block/barrel spread sits at 25 ½ cents and the cheese average at $1.67 ¼.
Butter gained a penny on its slow move towards $2, finishing at $1.97 1/2/lb. Grade A Non fat Dry milk fell a penny to $1.56/lb with Dry Whey holding unchanged at $0.66/lb.
Class III milk struggled to follow cheese. November fell 2 cents to 18.10, December fell 8 cents to 18.03, and January fell 10 to 18.35. The balance of 2022 was unchanged to 11 cents lower.
Class IV milk was mixed. November gained 3 cents to 18.68, December was unchanged at 18.20, and January fell 7 cents to 19.06/cwt.
The grain and feed markets continued to march higher with corn up 14 ½ cents to 5.69 ¼, soybeans add 4 ¾ cents to $12.16 ¾, with soybean meal relatively unchanged at $342.40/ton.
