Mother Dairy has expressed interest in setting up milk and vegetable booths in sectors that are being developed off Yamuna Expressway.

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) launched an open-ended scheme in which 21 plots were allotted for milk and vegetable booths in sectors 18 and 20 in March. YEIDA officials said that after the scheme was launched, Mother Dairy wrote a letter to the Authority, expressing its desire to set up kiosks there.

“After Lok Sabha elections are over, Yamuna Authority will consider Mother Dairy’s proposal,” a senior official said. Officials said that 52 booths are supposed to be built in sectors 18, 20, and 22D. The Authority has decided to allot plots only to national and state co-operative societies and members of the National Co-operative Dairy Federation of India Ltd.
