To carry out the initiative, authorities appointed Indian Dairy Machinery Company as the executing agency responsible for developing the planned dairy infrastructure. The projects are expected to focus on strengthening processing capacity and modernizing facilities within the cooperative and organized dairy sector.

Officials say the investment aims to improve the efficiency of milk procurement, processing, and distribution across the state. By expanding dairy infrastructure, the government intends to create stronger links between milk producers and organized markets while reducing logistical constraints in the supply chain.

The initiative also seeks to support rural livelihoods by enhancing income opportunities for dairy farmers. Strengthening the dairy sector is considered a strategic priority for Uttar Pradesh, where milk production plays a major role in the agricultural economy and supports millions of smallholder producers.
