
Kokila village is hub of milk production and around 350 members of PragatiDugdhaUtpadakSamabaySamiti society produces 8000 litres of milk every day.
Loan component of Rs.1.44 lakhs for purchase of milch cows and renovation of shed will be provided to the 300 beneficiaries which will be disbursed under Tripartite Agreement among the Farmers, Society and the Bank under Mudra Dairy Scheme.
The scheme is an initiative under Atmanirbhar Bharat and Nation’s aim of doubling farmers’ income.
The event was graced by Ramesh R S,CGM of SBI North East Circle, Suranjana Dutta, GM (NW-I), SBI NE Circle, Madan LS,DGM(B&O), Guwahati along with Alaram Deori, DDM NABARD Bongaigaon & Goalpara and others.
In another event on the same day at District Library Bongaigaon, sanction letters to 400 Self Help Groups were distributed under the Mahila Atmanirbhar Achoni (MAA).
An exhibition was also organized at the venue where the SHGs showcased there products of local weaving and handicrafts. Tree saplings were also distributed along with the sanction letter.
In a similar event held on November 28 at Pathsala Branch of State Bank of India, sanction letters were distributed to 350 dairy farmers of Nityananda village, Pathsala under Cluster Financing, stated a press release.
