Every year 20 million tonnes of straw is produced in Punjab.Kerala ranks second in milk productivity in the country after Punjab.

Lack of cultivable land in the coastal state of Kerala fails to produce the required fodder for cattle. It is estimated that Lakhs of Kerala farmers will be benefited from Punjab’s stubble.

Malabar Milma has announced Rs 15 crore for additional milk procured and fodder subsidies for dairy farmers, as approved in a recent meeting of the Malabar Region Union Governing Council.
