In this context, due to these efforts of the Punjab government,  the Punjabi youth living abroad, Jagdeep Singh Shergill, Buianwala village and Yadwinder Singh, expressed their desire to set up their business in Ferozepur, during a meeting of the District Planning Board (DPB) to  Chand Singh Gill Chairman and Kapalmeet Singh, Executive Officer, Dairy Development Department.

Speaking on the occasion, Chand Singh Gill Chairman, DPB said that the day is not far, when the Punjab government and the youth together will restore the ancient glory of the state and create a dynamic and progressive Punjab. He assured the NRIs of providing all possible support and favourable environment from the Punjab government and said that they are ready to contribute in every way for the progress and prosperity of the state.

Gill said that besides giving a big boost to the economic activities in the state, the Punjab government is making great efforts to help the youth in the socio-economic development of the state and reconnect the Punjabi youth living abroad with their homeland. The AAP government established a single window in each district to ensure speedy approval process for industrialists. These single windows enable entrepreneurs to get instant, smooth and hassle-free approval for their projects. He said that setting up single windows in each district would facilitate the industrialists to get approvals without running around in the offices thereby saving their time, money and energy. He said that the goal of the state government under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann is to make Punjab a leading state in industrial development.
