During the event, Punjab’s animal husbandry minister, Gurmeet Singh Khudian, emphasized the state’s strong dairy base and the growing importance of advanced animal nutrition. He invited domestic and international investors to participate in the development of feed manufacturing, research, and technology initiatives linked to dairy production.

Officials highlighted that improving animal nutrition is essential for raising milk productivity, animal health, and overall farm profitability. By expanding research and industrial capabilities in feed development, the state aims to support more efficient dairy farming while increasing the competitiveness of its milk sector.

Punjab already ranks among India’s major milk-producing regions, supported by a large population of dairy cattle and buffalo. Authorities believe that combining this production base with innovation in feed and nutritional technologies could create new opportunities for agribusiness growth and export-oriented investment.
