Two thousand litres of milk was received in the milk market (Dudh Bhatti) in Ganesh Peth.
Milk was received from Aranyeshwar, Khadki, Lashkar, and Gawliwada in Mundhwa and Wadebolhai, Wagholi, Kesand area, Bhor, Velha, Nasrapur on Nagar road. In the wholesale milk market, a jug of 18 litres of milk fetched a price of Rs. 1500. Last year, an 18-litre jar fetched Rs 1,300.
Due to Kojagari, the demand for milk has increased, and the inflow of milk has decreased compared to last year, according to Ramdas Kale, President of Ganesh Peth Milk Market Buying and Selling Association, and Damodar Hingmire, Vice President. Demand for milk has increased from circles, institutions, and societies. He mentioned that there is a good demand for milk from the dairy operators, and there is a possibility of a further increase in the demand for milk on Sunday (9th October).
