Milma. Kerala milk federation to oppose sale of Karnataka's Nandini milk in state
“Karnataka Corporate Milk producers had decided to do business in Kerala even before the Amul-Nandini issue”, said Milma Malabar Region Union chairman.

President Droupadi Murmu has withheld her assent to the Kerala Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Bill, which sought to wrest control of the Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Milma) through nominated members.

The cooperative societies bill was intended to give voting rights to nominated members.

The opposition had criticised the amendment, and the governor had taken a position that voting rights could not be granted to nominated members with no experience in the dairy sector.
