Jammu and Kashmir Dairy Farmers’ Association (JKDFA) organized today an interactive session with budding dairy farmers of the Nowshera region. The event was aimed at spreading awareness about the Government’s welfare schemes and support policies for the dairy sector, while also providing a platform for farmers to voice their concerns.

The session saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of local dairy farmers, reflecting the growing interest in the dairy sector in rural areas. JKDFA officials shared detailed information regarding various beneficial Government initiatives meant to uplift and financially support dairy farmers, including schemes on subsidies, infrastructure assistance and training modules.

During the event, the concerns and practical difficulties being faced by dairy farmers in the Nowshera region were attentively recorded. JKDFA assured the participants that their issues would be taken up with the concerned authorities to seek timely redressal and policy interventions where necessary.

The session was marked by the presence of key leaders from the Association. Jeet Ram Choudhary, founder Chairman of JKDFA, and Sunil Kumar Sharma, president, led the discussions. Other notable members present included S K Sharma, Chairman Advisory Board, Dr Ashwani Jojra, Chairman, coordination and monitoring core committee, Darshan Choudhary, vice Chairman, and Davinder Kattal, general secretary.

Senior leaders such as Capt Daler Singh, Capt Kashmir Singh, Sukhdev Choudhary, Satpal Choudhary, Shubham Choudhary, Rakesh Kumar Rocky, Jai Dev Singh, Mukesh Raina (district president, Rajouri), and Harpal Singh (vice president, district Rajouri), also played key roles in organizing and conducting the session.

The event underscored JKDFA’s commitment to grassroots engagement and its ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between policy and practice in the dairy farming ecosystem. The Association plans to conduct similar outreach activities in other rural belts across the Union Territory.
