Jayen Mehta has been appointed Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (Amul) for a five-year term, ending in 2029-30. The decision was made at GCMMF's board meeting in late November.

Jayen Mehta has been appointed as the managing director of Amul (GCMMF) for a five-year term until 2029-30. With 34 years of experience, he will lead India’s largest FMCG brand, which has a turnover of ₹80,000 crore.

GCMMF, India’s largest Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) enterprise, manages an annual brand sales turnover of ₹80,000 crore.

It is a cooperative federation of 3.6 million milk producers in Gujarat, operating through 18,600 village dairy cooperative societies under 18 district milk unions. The organisation handles over 30 million litres of milk daily.

Mr Mehta has been with GCMMF for 34 years, progressing through various roles and gaining extensive experience. He is also a member of the Standing Committee of Marketing for the International Dairy Federation (IDF).
