Indonesia’s largest dairy company has imported 1,100 head of cattle from Victoria, as it looks to expand its herd and boost the nation’s milk production.

To learn more about the shipment, ABC Rural spoke to Dick Slaney from Greenfields Indonesia, who said the cattle were now out of quarantine yards.

Meanwhile, beef cattle exports from the Darwin Port have reached a decade high, with 440,000 head shipped from Darwin in the 2024/25 financial year — mostly to Indonesia.
