Sunil Kedar, Maharashtra state Dairy Development, Animal Husbandry, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister on Saturday said that the government was firmly behind the hard working dairy farmers in the state and strongly support milk producers, he further said.

In order to avoid the problem of excess milk due to lockdown in March last year, the government had collected milk from the co-operative sector which helped the co-operative sector, he said .

The minister was here for the inspection of the dairy of District Co-operative Milk Producers Association at Gandheli here.

Producers Association President and MLA Haribhau Bagde, Mla Sanjay Shirsat, Former Mla Kalyan Kale and others along with Producers Association Vice President Nandlal Kale were present.

Mr Kedar said some milk institutes outside the state have taken over the milk market in the
state.

He visited goat parents and inspected breeder goat houses at Mill cornor in city and also paid visit at playground at Golwadi and inspected which was developed by CIDCO
