“In line with our vision, One Planet One Health, Danone-Aqua is always committed to having a positive impact on consumers, the environment and communities. One of them is through community empowerment initiatives that we carry out together with the village-owned enterprises [BUMDes] in Bongkasa Pertiwi,” Danone Indonesia’s VP general secretary Vera Galuh Sugijanto was quoted as saying in a press statement.
Bongkasa Pertiwi has now become one of the popular tourist villages in Bali. The area was also one of the destinations for delegates to the G20 Summit in 2022, as an example of a successful community-based environmental management program.
Danone Indonesia’s corporate communications director Arif Mujahidin said that the company encourages the development of social programs, especially those based on environmental preservation. This is in line with the company’s dual commitment to achieving success in the business sector while also actively contributing to the environment and local communities.
