Sumul hikes milk prices by ₹2 per litre

Surat Tapi District Co-Operative Milk Producers Union Ltd also known as Sumul Dairy has decided to increase milk prices by Rs 2 per liter. The revised price will come into force from Sunday.

Sumul Dairy sells the majority of its products under the Amul brand. With the price revision across different varieties, Amul Gold will cost Rs 68 per litre, Amul Taza Rs 54, Amul Shaki Rs 62, Sumul cow milk Rs 56 and Amul Slim and Trim Rs 48.

Sumul distributes over 12 lakh litres of milk in Surat and Tapi districts.

The prices have been increased following a recent hike in milk prices by the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets products under brand name Amul.
