In a press conference held in Ajmer, Ramchandra Chaudhary, Chairman of Saras Dairy, addressed the ongoing issues faced by dairy farmers, particularly the severe shortage of cattle feed.
Speaking to the media, Chaudhary highlighted the challenges in the availability of animal fodder and pending payment under the Milk Production Support Scheme.
He informed that a backlog in the support price Rs 5 per litre, is yet to be disbursed to farmers under the scheme. Chaudhary assured that all outstanding issues would be resolved promptly. “The problem of cattle feed will be addressed by May 13,” he stated, further assuring that dairy farmers will also receive payments for the last two months by that date.
Following this assurance, the protest that was to take place outside RCDF office was postponed. Earlier, Chaudhary had warned of a protest if the concerns were not resolved, but after RCDF promised a solution by May 13, the Chairman confirmed the demonstration has been deferred.
