Crystal Crop launched Dairy Green fodder seed for Kharif 2026 to boost milk yields and dairy farm profits.
Crystal Crop Expands Dairy Fodder Seed Lineup

The Indian agribusiness group is strengthening its Kharif 2026 portfolio with new green fodder seeds aimed at boosting milk production and dairy farm profitability.

Crystal Crop Protection has expanded its seed portfolio for the Kharif 2026 season with the rollout of a new Dairy Green fodder seed, targeting India’s fast-growing dairy sector. The company said the new product is designed to improve the availability of high-quality green fodder, an increasingly important factor for milk yields and dairy farm economics.

The new fodder offering builds on Crystal Crop’s existing strength in the forage segment. According to the company, its Dairy Green hybrid already holds a leading position in western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan, where demand for dairy feed crops continues to rise. The company said fodder seeds are one of its fastest-growing businesses, alongside pearl millet and cotton.

Crystal Crop is using the new launch to broaden its overall Kharif 2026 seed portfolio. The company has been expanding aggressively through acquisitions and new product development, recently adding crops such as wheat, berseem, vegetables and flowers. Executives said the strategy is intended to give farmers access to a more diversified package of seeds across both field crops and dairy-linked forage crops.

The company expects demand for green fodder seeds to continue rising as Indian dairy farmers look for ways to reduce feed costs and improve herd productivity. Better-quality fodder can support higher milk production, particularly in regions facing pressure from rising feed prices and limited forage availability during the summer months.

Crystal Crop said the Kharif 2026 season will be driven by stronger interest in hybrid seeds, climate-resilient crops and more sustainable farming systems. By adding Dairy Green to its portfolio, the company is positioning itself to capture a larger share of India’s dairy and fodder seed market while helping producers improve efficiency and profitability.
