The company’s advancements extend to the foundational aspects of dairy production and genetics. Yili’s subsidiary, Skxing, has bred bulls that now hold the top eight spots in China’s dairy sire rankings. In parallel, the development of the “Breeding Chip No 1” represents a major milestone, giving China independent control over genomic testing technologies for creating high-yield, long-living, and disease-resistant dairy cows, positioning the nation as a leader in agribusiness genetics.
Yili’s innovative products are also gaining international recognition. On October 18, 2024, its Satine Lactoferrin Organic Milk received the New Product Development Innovation Award at the IDF World Dairy Summit. This groundbreaking product, the world’s first ambient organic milk containing active lactoferrin, was made possible by the company’s proprietary directional extraction and aseptic refilling technologies, which have overcome previous challenges in the supply of this critical compound.
Looking ahead to 2025, Yili is accelerating the expansion of its Future Intelligence & Health Valley, with two major projects slated for launch: a 150,000-metric-ton natural cheese facility and a 63,000-ton milk powder facility. These large-scale projects are central to the company’s growth strategy.
