Can Indian agriculture learn from the dairy success?

On this segment of ‘India Development Debate’, RS Sodhi, Managing Director of Amul speaks to ET NOW’s Tamanna Inamdar about the farm bills 2020.

RS Sodhi says that agriculture is a source of livelihood for more than 150 million families and that milk is the largest crop in India. He also says that agriculture’s contribution to GDP was about 50% at the time of independence and it now contributes about 16% to India’s GDP.

RS Sodhi Laos believes that India needs to establish a system for other crops like in the dairy industry and that the new farm laws can be a game-changer for the farmers.
