According to the report, Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh inspected the site and directed agencies involved in the project to maintain deadlines and accelerate pending work. The plant is designed to process cattle waste generated in the Goyla Dairy area and convert it into biogas, supporting cleaner energy production and reducing environmental pollution.

Officials said the project aims to address longstanding concerns over unmanaged dairy waste, which has contributed to sanitation and environmental challenges in the region. By transforming organic waste into energy, the initiative is expected to improve urban waste handling while supporting sustainability goals within India’s livestock and dairy ecosystem.

The biogas facility also reflects growing interest in circular economy solutions across the dairy industry, where manure management and methane utilization are becoming increasingly important. Governments and dairy stakeholders worldwide are investing in technologies that reduce emissions, create renewable energy, and improve operational efficiency at farm and municipal levels.
