Sanjiv Mehta, who will retire as CEO & MD of Hindustan Unilever (HUL) on June 26 this year, has been proposed to be inducted on the board of global foods and beverage company Danone as an independent director.
Danone said in a statement that the proposed appointment, if approved at Danone shareholders’ meeting on April 27, will mark the full renewal of the board.
Mehta is expected to join the Danone board effective July 1.
