Lucknow: A delegation led by Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Monday met half-a-dozen experts and scientists from dairy development and livestock field in Brazil who have been instrumental in improving the yield of cattle.

The delegation that also includes senior officials of the Uttar Pradesh government is in the south American country to bring in investments ahead of the Global Investors Summit (GIS)-2023.

“Better ties in the field of dairy business can be forged between the Uttar Pradesh government and Brazil,” Pathak said.

The Deputy Chief Minister told the delegates that 40 years back the Brazilian government had taken a Gir cow to their country and through genetic improvement and research have managed to increase its yield from 25 litre to 80 litre.

Pathak urged the scientists of Brazil to open a dairy research centre in Uttar Pradesh through which both the countries could benefit.
