  • State-level Cooperative Milk Producers “Gopal Sammelan” to be Held at Ravindra Bhavan on April 13
  • Agreement to Be Signed in Presence of Union Minister for Cooperation and Home Affairs Shri Amit Shah
  • A New Initiative for Prosperity through Cooperation

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that under the vision of “Prosperity through Cooperation,” Madhya Pradesh is taking a significant initiative. The state government has taken an important step to transform the lives of farmers and livestock rearers through a collaborative agreement between the Milk Unions, National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), and the MP State Cooperative Dairy Federation (MPCDF). Madhya Pradesh will secure a prominent place in the field of dairy cooperatives. Dr. Yadav shared this during a meeting held at the Mantralaya on Monday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the preparations for the upcoming state-level Cooperative Milk Producers “Gopal Sammelan” scheduled to take place in Bhopal on April 13. Union Minister for Cooperation and Home Affairs Shri Amit Shah is expected to attend the event. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry Shri Lakhan Patel and senior officials were also present at the meeting.

Madhya Pradesh Advancing Towards a White Revolution

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that farmers will be encouraged to increase milk production. The state government is committed to ensuring that milk is purchased directly from farmers and livestock rearers at fair prices. Under the White Revolution Mission, the number of milk coolers, mini dairy plants, and chilling centers will be increased in collaboration with Sanchi Dairy in each district. The processing capacity of milk unions will also be expanded to boost farmers’ income. New dairy cooperative societies will be established in most villages, connecting milk-producing farmers to the cooperative dairy program. Madhya Pradesh currently ranks third in the country in milk production. The coverage of cooperative societies will be expanded to ensure milk producers receive the full benefits of the cooperative dairy program. This is also a solid effort to enhance the Sanchi brand.

New Advanced Plants to Be Established

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that new, state-of-the-art dairy plants will be set up in the state. Where existing milk union plants have become outdated, they will be replaced with modern facilities. The milk processing capacity will be increased from 1.8 million liters per day to 3 million liters per day. The rise in milk production will also strengthen dairy producer organizations. Farmers will gain a significant new source of income besides traditional agriculture, contributing to the overall progress of the state.
