Dairy farmers dump milk on road in protest at Yacharam

Mother Dairy, to which they supply milk, allegedly did not pay their dues reportedly to the tune of Rs 4 lakh.

Dairy farmers from Kurmidda village in Yacharam mandal of Rangareddy district took out a unique protest on Wednesday against the delay in payment of their money.

The farmers, who supply milk to the Nalgonda and Rangareddy Districts Milk Producers Cooperative Society, known as Mother Dairy, took to the streets after the society allegedly did not pay them their dues, reportedly to the tune of Rs 4 lakh.

The farmers, who protested by dumping milk on the road, said the society was paying others but not them and demanded that the pending bills be settled immediately. They also threatened to intensify their protest if the payments were not made immediately.
