The Goa Dairy, officially known as the Goa State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union, has asked the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to depute a full-time managing director.

After serving for 17 months, Yogesh Rane resigned on May 17 and a member of the committee of administrators Rama G Parab was in charge. Rane had joined the office on Dec 5, 2022.

Rane said that the NDDB has a scheme wherein the board can send a person as a MD on deputation for two years.

Parab, a veterinarian, has been taken over the reins of the Dairy on behalf of the committee. He said that he has been appointed as the MD as per the recent directives of the high court. The officer is paid by the NDDB, Parab said.

Committee chairman Parag Nagarsekar said that Rane had managed to streamline affairs at the Union.
